my feral grounding - my why

as far back as i can remember i have always held a deep-rooted passion for optimal human health and wellness.  from a very young age i always fascinated over the length of time we have here on our planet and one that i feared was too short! this desire took a much deeper dive over the recent years and i have been down the rabbit hole of self-optimisation and have researched many methods, diets, hacks, stories and experimented in many different areas of the health and wellness space, and i feel this is pretty cool.

as a former rugby player i used to think that my weekly training sessions along with hours spent at the gym and competing in matches at weekends were enough to keep me alive and keep me going - and whilst this holds true to some extent, i often wondered whether there was more i could or should do or if a different approach was needed to optimise myself both internally and externally

there is clear motivation behind my rationale and gut determination to succeed and to help others crack our life code and this is solely based on the rate of illness we have all around us – everyone knows someone who is suffering.  i always used to think some are lucky and others not so lucky but the ethos of being in the ‘lucky sperm club’ has never rested well within me and has led me to believing that answers are out there and that our fate is actually held in the palm of our very own hands – the power is within us.  disease risk ratios are increasing, degenerative diseases are increasing, mental health issues are climbing fast, our childhood rates of ADHD and a plethora of other issues, are skyrocketing – why? this is out of control.

i became obsessed over what it takes to regain control in order to allow us to give life our best shot and the mounds of research i have buried myself in over the years has churned out a common denominator and led me down the path of evolutional, ancestral living.  our ancestor’s success through years of selection pressures left us many clues, and clues we need to heed. 

i can help you escape domestication and guide you to return to your ‘wild’ or ‘unprogrammed’ state, as we like to call it – we have all fallen victim to the system we have learned over the years and that this has programmed us to a robotic like species. the best news is we can in fact revert back to our raw state operating system and this is much easier than you might think! enough is enough. check out the real meaning of ‘feral’ whilst detaching yourself from thinking you are now a wild cat :)  

becoming feral again fundamentally means looking at your nutritional and lifestyle habits and breaking free of traditional routine and conventional wisdom. to feel and live happy and healthy again whilst unlocking your life path and setting aside your challenges and crushing them whilst their tiny. would you like to re-gain control? regain your energy, achieve effortless fat loss, weight management, normalise hunger levels and avoidance of chronic exercise workout patterns? basically, become human again. this is easy. i will help you. 


why get feral? 

we all hate diets as they never work and work out regimes that don’t get us excited – useless age old advice about ‘’calories in v’s calories out’’, ‘’eat it and then burn it off’’, ‘’daily sins that are allowed’’, ‘’extreme exercise patterns’’ that are way too chronic for the body, ‘’sleep is overrated’’. this is not your fault just how you have learned in the past but you now need new education around the understanding of historic teachings and how wrong it is against real ancestral proven lifestyles to then allow you to enter a new way of life. a clear creation of simplified habitual behaviours to make long lasting change without suffering or sacrifice! 

i have learned a lot. over the years i have always strived for many things but mostly a great physical body but there was always that something that was missing even though I would train like the best, obtain my food macros (certainly pasta carbs) but the key came when i was lead  to understanding that 80% of body composition is through what you eat….and what you don’t eat. this was the way our hunter-gatherer ancestors nailed it down! its all in the name of optimal gene expression. it become very clear the more i dug, that mimicking primal times in modern day environments holds the secrets we need to learn from.  this is how i become feral and my operating system was re-set  and was able to use my stored and ingested fat for fuel and even increase my fat loss.


 i didn’t rely on carbohydrates for energy every few hours and without need to snack, i could skip meals and actually feel better. i became cognitively attune, abundant energy levels, time to play, daily movement patterns changed, exercise routines became shorter but more beneficial and a clear upgrade in attitude to just simply succeed in life and give and do for others. i didn’t realise how wrong i was doing life until i actually felt human again.  


even in these modern times i am living a primitive way of life, my sleep quality is great (so important), my training has been switched up, i now am able listen to my body, relaxing more without stressing over missed gym sessions, avoid chronic exercising, never hassled by need for feeding and spending more time with my family than ever. i feel like i have cheated somewhere but know that this is thriving not surviving.  i want you to feel the same way, you should feel the same way and that is why I decided to entrench myself and become a health coach and undertake the Primal Health Coach certification and learn from what i see as the best.  i will take huge pride in helping you take back control, you press the button knowing familial predispositions can be controlled and its time to enjoy and share my knowledge and insights in taking you on a different way of life, to self-optimise, to upgrade - you deserve it. ‘’live long. live well’
